Missing teeth problems can affect not only your smile, but other aspects of your life as well – such as your self-confidence. Tooth loss can make you feel insecure with the knowledge that your smile is incomplete. Dentures can quickly make your smile complete again so you can confidently interact with other people. The removable teeth replacement is designed to fit comfortably in your mouth for a natural-looking and improved smile after tooth loss.
However, the way dentures fit change over time. Because they are removable and only made to sit on top of the gums, they are affected by how the jawbone changes with time – such as when the bone becomes thinner because it lacks stimulation from the lost tooth roots. While the bone underneath progressively deteriorates, the way the dentures fit become affected as well. This results in loose dentures that tend to move uncontrollably inside your mouth, causing embarrassment and discomfort with every movement.
There is a way to keep your dentures or teeth restorations in place – with the help of dental implants. These titanium tooth roots are placed into the jawbone directly to form a firm anchor where the tooth restorations can be attached to. And because they are embedded into the bone tissue, they – and the attached teeth restorations – are guaranteed to stay put. When you choose dental implants as your missing teeth solution, you can say goodbye to the discomfort and embarrassment brought by loose dentures as you welcome confident smiles.
"I had a set of dentures made recently at my last dentist and they were not good enough to bite with. Dr Singh recommended that I have implants to eat better. Now after the procedure, I am able to enjoy eating." Sheila.
Modern Implant Placement Procedure
The implant process normally involves several steps that take place over a time from 3 to 9 months. With Mini Implants, however, the implant process can take only days.
- Initial Consultation – Treatment Planning After discussing possible alternatives, our dental surgeon will assess the feasibility of providing implant treatment.
- Dental Implant Placement - Implants are placed in the dental surgery. If, after assessment, the underlying jawbone is judged to be deficient, a number of options are made available for bone regeneration.
- Healing Period - With our dental implants and after placement, you will have healed sufficiently within days after the surgery. In most cases however, it is often suggested that a period of three months or more be allowed for the implant to fully integrate and heal into the bone.
- The Restorative Phase - Once integrated (or healed), the implants will be uncovered and a variety or restorations (Crowns, Bridges, Removable Denture) will be considered.
- Maintenance - Following the completion of implant treatment, patients need to clean thoroughly around the implants as instructed by the dentist. They should attend their dentist for regular reviews so that the health of the soft tissue, bone levels and the integrity of the restoration can be checked.
"Staff are lovely, very accommodating to my schedule when booking appointments. Dr Singh is very professional, very caring and puts his heart and soul into creating the right treatment for each individual. I feel like I am well taken care of by everyone at the clinic. I have a new set of comfortable implant teeth" Hazel
Around two to three months after surgery, your bone will have fully integrated with the dental implants.
Aftercare – keeping your new teeth looking great
We use only the highest quality materials in the planning and construction of your same-day dental implants and new teeth.
Just like with natural teeth, your dental implants can last a lifetime if they are consistently well cared for.
Most dental implant failure is caused by the lack of a really good at-home dental hygiene routine, so you must commit to looking after your new teeth. This is crucial to the long-term success of your implants and new teeth.
We will provide you with instructions and guidance on how to brush and clean.
We will subscribe you to our Maintenance Programme and recommend that you come back to see the Eternal Smiles Dental Centre regularly so we can monitor and maintain the health of your teeth and gums and keep your implants in the best possible condition.
Continued care of your new teeth every six months is vital for continuing health, aesthetics and function, just as with natural teeth.

Ceramic Dental Implants
9 Reasons Why to have
Metal-free Zirconia Dental Implants
1.- Biocompatibility & optimal Osseointegration:
Straumann and CeraRoot implants are made from zirconia—a biocompatible, ceramic material that fosters complete assimilation into the jaw bone.
A recent microscopic study performed Scientists have also reported that zirconia is an ideal material for dental implants.
2.- Allergies & Sensitivities:
Zirconia implants are hypoallergenic, which is not the case with metal implants. Surprisingly, many cases of titanium implant sensitivity show up years after surgery when itchiness and inflammation develop around implant sites. It’s a perfect setup for bone loss and the potential failure of an implant.
Today, there’s a growing number of people who have allergies, skin sensitivities and compromised immune systems; therefore implantation of metal devices should be seriously scrutinized beforehand, especially since the removal of a titanium implant from jaw bone is not a simple procedure.

The inherent problem that frequently arises with titanium implants is an aesthetic one. Patients with thin, translucent gums or those who are prone to gum recession (as are many ageing people) may end up with the grey gums or titanium showing around the margin of the crown. Since zirconia is non-metallic and white, it is much more natural looking than titanium. It’s a perfect base colour that closely mimics what nature created in the first place.
"A metal aura was visible around my gum line of the two upper front teeth with crowns. The root canal treatment had failed after a few years done at my last dentist. Dr Singh described the surgical treatment plan included the immediate placement of implants. After healing, all-ceramic crowns were cemented onto my implants, and the final result is a beautiful, natural smile."
4.- Non-conductivity of zirconia:
The fact that zirconia does not conduct an electrical charge is a big benefit. Bacterial growth on the surface of a zirconia implant is far less likely to adhere due to its non-conductivity, thus creating an oral environment that promotes much healthier gums.
Straumann and CeraRoot implants do not interfere with the movement of energy though the body’s meridians. And since zirconia implants are bioinert, they’re a perfect tooth replacement solution for patients who adhere to holistic health principles.
The long-term success of implants is one of the most important features of this innovative system. Designed to withstand tremendous masticatory forces, zirconia implants mimic the best of nature with a variety of tooth-like contours and bioinert composition. Zirconia is well known for its durability and inflexibility under pressure…an excellent combination of traits for dental devices.
CeraRoot 16 is indicated to replace molar teeth. The diameter is very similar to a natural tooth.
7.- One-piece design:
Traditional titanium implant systems consist of two metal components (the implant that’s lodged into the jaw and the abutment that sits above the gumline) joined together with a fixation screw. Micro-movement can occur where these pieces meet when under the extreme pressure of chewing, thus creating warm, moist places where anaerobic bacteria have an opportunity to colonize. It’s a perfect setup for an unfortunate cascade of events to follow: the bacteria release toxins, inducing inflammation around the implant, which can eventually lead to bone loss and the possibility of implant failure.
Over the past decades, more ceramic components have been incorporated into dentistry due to their clinically proven strength and aesthetic benefits. Not only is there a trend to include all-ceramic crowns and implant abutments in treatment plans, but the implant itself is now available in a one-piece design made from biocompatible zirconia. CeraRoot implants set the stage for the ultimate in optimal function, superior health and natural beauty.
8.- One-stage surgery:
Implants are designed for immediate placement after tooth extractions. This one-stage surgical approach minimizes implantation time and maximizes comfort. Moreover, a less invasive surgery (one without incisions or suturing) may be possible when there’s no infection and sufficient bone is present at the implant site.
Overall implant patients experience a significant increase in comfort and function afterwards due to biocompatibility and the strength of zirconia.

Thanks for helping me replace my broken teeth. I can enjoy my food as I did before I lost my teeth. It feels great."
Implant retained dentures are a type of denture that attach to specially designed implants to hold them in place. You might hear them referred to as snap-in dentures or click-in dentures. Traditional removable dentures will be held in place by suction and specialist adhesives, but implant retained dentures are attached to small implants which are placed in the jawbone. This means they are much more secure and will allow you to talk confidently and eat most foods.
As they are attached to dental implants set in the jaw, they will also be much smaller than traditional removable dentures. This means you will have fewer issues with speaking, eating and swallowing.
Why Choose Implant Supported Dentures?
Most our patients say this :
- Strong, stable bite
- Highly natural appearance
- Do not shift, rock or make noise
- Do not require paste or adhesive
- Significantly improve quality of life
Bridge Implants - We only replace the missing tooth and we don't touch the other teeth. Fitting a bridge to replace a missing tooth can have a detrimental impact on the surrounding teeth. An implant also helps to maintain the bone in that area of your jaw.
"I was wearing dentures for a considerable time. I was unhappy to remove them every night. Dr Singh, you are very kind and gentle. I received professional service and made to feel comfortable, it looks marvellous." . Mr Lansdowne.

Denture Stabilisation – Stop Your Dentures from Moving
When there is minimal gum and bone left, making successful dentures can be very difficult as there is little keeping them in the mouth. Having a couple of dental implants placed and corresponding clips or studs placed in a denture can completely change your experience with dentures.
- A cheaper alternative to full-mouth restoration through implants
- Requires only a couple of implants
- Retentive, stable and secure
- Makes talking and eating easy again
- Allows you to taste your food better as the palate doesn’t need to be covered as much
- Allows you to eat what you want
- Eliminates the embarrassment associated with unsuccessful dentures
How would Dental Implants benefit me?
- an implant-supported denture is more stable than your regular denture
- enables you to speak more easily
- less worry that your denture may become loose or fall out of the mouth at the dinner table
- you will be able to eat more of the types of foods you enjoy
- it feels more natural than a regular denture because the denture part in your palate no longer covers the roof of your mouth.
